Family Hosts 41st Annual Angus Bull Sale
Burwell, Nebraska
The
Mike Sitz Family held their 41st Annual Bull Sale at the Burwell
Livestock Market in Burwell, Nebraska, to a full house on February
3rd, 2014. This is a year of optimism as the cattle market soared
to all time highs, and the Sitz sale followed this trend with sixty-seven
head of top Coming-Two-Year-Old bulls averaging $6677.
The
high selling bull was Lot 6, MSAR Emblazon 2022, selling for
$10,750. Finding a new home with Freeman & Maxwell Partnership,
Ainsworth, Nebraska, this son of MSAR Emblazon 4086 from a
CAR Chinnook 786 daughter, had a Wean Ratio of 123, a Yearling
Ratio of 121, with a Birth EPD of +2.3, a Wean of +50, a Yearling
of +81 and a Milk of +22. He is deep, thick and eye appealing
bull.
Another
MSAR Emblazon 4086 son went to repeat customer Brandon Bruha,
Ord, Nebraska for $10,500.

Lot
1 is from a high maternal cow family having MSAR Right Time
7757 and CTR Rito 5503 on the bottom side of the pedigree.
This
bull had a Wean Ratio of 104 and a Yearling Ratio of 102,
with a Birth EPD of +1.6, a Wean of +42 and a Yearling of
+69.
The
next two high sellers were Lot 20 and Lot 55, both selling
to Freeman & Maxwell. Lot 20 is packed full of maternal
traits, being a son of MSAR Right Time 7757 from a BT Right
Time 24J and Papa Forte 1921 daughter. He sold for $9500.
Lot 55 is a moderate framed bull from MSAR Forte 6776 - 8008
out of a 4X13 dam. He is +1.1 on Birth with a +41 Wean EPD
and a + 70 Yearling EPD, with a +18 on Milk. He sold for $9250. |
